Yes, she was there again. She was looking at him. Still in the same way... As if she was challenging him, as if she was asking again... Now or never.... He walked to her and said "I have something for you". He gave the picture that he took from the little girl. Then he said "and I suppose that you have something for me to". "Do you recognize the photo", she asked him. "Sure, I took it 7, 8 years ago in Switzerland. You have changed a lot".
"You didn't, you still have that stupid thing you call a beard under your chin". Marc smiled and looked carefully. He knew he had seen these lips before, but he never imagined it could have been Tracy. "That was our last summer together, remember?"
Follow up:
"Oh come on Tracy, you knew it would not have worked? you were 17, I was 30...it was bound to end anyway"
"Yes" she said, "it was not going very well at the moment but your leaving decision made me upset for a long time. Although there has been 7 years and 11 months that we didn't see each other, I never passed one only day without thinking of you".
Marc was once again totally shocked. He didn't know what to say..
"Since such a long time?" he said. "But I thought that you were also bored of this relationship. I was too old for you. You wanted to leave this country and live adventures and I had my job and my family here that I didn't have the courage to do so. I also remember very well that if I wasn't planning to come with you, you were leaving anyway. It's true that it was me who proposed first to break up but you seemed quite agree with me... So why thinking of me every day? What do you mean? If you never forgot me, why you never called me?"
She smiled and took his hand tenderly. She said "well Marc, there are many things to talk about and I am not planning to do it right now in two seconds, standing still like this... So let's sit a little bit and tell me what you want to drink."
Marc said "a whisky" That was the only thing which could shake him a bit and he needed that! She went to the bar and he sat down to the first chair he found next to him! Then he looked behind her. She was waiting for the guy behind the bar to prepare her order and at the same time seemed like she was flirting with him. The guy was looking all the time to Marc. As if he was trying to memorize his face. He was looking at him as he was a kind of enemy and listening to Tracy at the same time. They were looking like they know each other for a long time. He surely was not a bartender for her. Maybe a good friend of her or whatever. Marc couldn't hear anything but he was sure that the guy behind the bar knew her much better than him. When he was thinking of these all, he put two glasses of whisky on the bar. Tracy grabbed them quickly; she smiled at him and came next to Marc. "So tell me, she said. I want to know first about you. How are you? What do you do for the moment? How is your life? Did you succeed on your job with which you were passionate? Are you married? Do you have children? Tell me all" "
